I've had trouble writing good reviews lately, because I wait too long and don't remember all the details. But I can remember the most important comments about places I've been, so I'm going to write

My restaurant reviews are based on my own visits, my own opinions, and my own tastes; and they are paid for with my own money. They aren't based on exhaustive research - just one or two visits. The final score, from 1 to 100, is based on my evaluation of the overall experience, including the following:
Food - does it taste good? I tend to favor spicy foods, Italian over French, and Old-Fashioned American over California Cooking.
Menu - Is there a good variety of choices that sound inviting?
Environment - Is it interesting, attractive, lively, cheerful, fun, etc.? How about the location?
Service - Cheerful and friendly is the most important thing here. Cold and snobby waiters don't get many points with me even if the service is good otherwise. I tend to favor waitresses over waiters.
Value - Are the prices fair and reasonable?
